Advanced Epilation Treatments
Method
Advanced Epilation Treatments are done using Short Wave Diathermy [SWD] (heat) and/or Blend Epilation. It is a very simple procedure where heat is carried via a very small probe. As the probe makes contact with the skin it cauterises the lesion that is being removed. If Blend is used aswell (in most cases) a conducter is held in the hand or in close contact with the skin. This makes you part of the circuit of the procedure. Therefore when the probe makes contact with the lesion a chemical reaction occurs in the skin (galvanism). This chemical is assisted by the heat produced [SWD] and is able to seep down into the skin and will shrink any part of the lesion that is under the skin. This means there is complete destruction of the lesion, it's root (if it has one) and the blood supply that maintains the lesion. The cauterised lesion is removed from the surface using tweezers. The surface is then sealed to make it safe from infection.
